The WD Foam Nozzle is a drone-mounted foam generating nozzle for aerial façade and surface cleaning. A pre-diluted cleaning solution is delivered up the supply hose and converted into a dense, clinging foam inside the nozzle itself, at the point of application. A stainless steel mesh pad inside the body does the work; three pads of different weights are supplied so the operator can tune foam density to the surface and the chemical in use. It threads onto a compatible aerial lance outlet and adds 141 g to the airborne payload.

Key benefits

  • Foam at the aircraft. Foam is generated inside the nozzle at the point of application, so it does not have to survive the trip up the supply hose.
  • Adjustable density. Three interchangeable stainless steel pads (3 g, 4 g, 5 g) let the operator tune foam thickness in the field.
  • Less chemical drift. A clinging foam pattern reduces splash and airborne drift compared with an atomised chemical spray.
  • Longer dwell time. Foam holds the chemical on vertical surfaces so it can act before being rinsed.
  • Minimal payload cost. 141 g body — the nozzle adds almost nothing to the airborne mass budget.
  • Field serviceable. The nozzle opens for access to the mesh pad, which can be cleared with compressed air on site.

How it works

Cleaning chemical is diluted with water and metered at the ground unit, then pumped up the supply hose to the aircraft. Inside the WD Foam Nozzle the solution is forced through a stainless steel mesh pad, where turbulence expands it into a thick foam. The foam leaves the nozzle as a soft, low-velocity pattern that settles on the surface and stays there while it dwells.

  1. Dilute: Chemical is diluted with water and supplied from the ground unit through the standard high-pressure line.
  2. Select: Fit the 3 g, 4 g or 5 g stainless steel pad to set the foam density for the surface and chemical in use.
  3. Foam: The solution passes through the mesh pad and leaves the nozzle as thick foam that clings to vertical surfaces instead of running off.

Before you deploy

Flush after every application. Rinse the nozzle with clean water and remove the mesh pad at the end of each job. Cleaning chemical left on the stainless steel element will cause corrosion and shorten its service life. This is the single most important maintenance step.

Restoring foam quality. If foam output drops, open the nozzle, remove the mesh pad and blow it clear with compressed air. A partially blocked pad is the usual cause of thin or inconsistent foam.

Pre-diluted supply required. The nozzle does not meter or inject chemical. Dilution is carried out at the ground unit; the nozzle receives the finished solution.

Chemical compatibility. Confirm that the cleaning chemical is compatible with stainless steel and with the wetted materials of the rest of the system before use.

Wear part. Mesh pads are consumable and are replaced periodically depending on chemical, water quality and cleaning discipline.

Chemical application, not rinsing. This is a foam applicator. High-pressure rinsing and stripping require a separate high-pressure nozzle.

Shipping and customs duties are not included.
