The WasherDrone Operator Training Programme prepares a crew to plan, run and document drone-based façade cleaning operations. Three core days, plus an optional fourth day of live-site observation, delivered by an authorised WasherDrone training partner — at the partner's facility or at the client's own site. The programme is assessed, not merely attended.

The drone does not do the work. The drone carries the nozzle to height. The ground system does the work.

Key benefits

  • Assessed, not attended. A written assessment and six separately assessed practical areas. Every area must be met before the certificate is issued.
  • The whole operation, not just the flight. Site assessment, planning, communication, fault handling and documentation — assessed against WasherDrone's operating protocols.
  • Delivered close to your operation. Partners are assigned on operational experience, calendar availability and proximity to the client, so the crew travels less and trains sooner.
  • Delivered in your language. Turkish, English, French, Greek, German, Romanian, Dutch and Arabic, depending on the assigned partner.

How it works

The progression is deliberate. A participant who has only watched an operation is not certified: understanding comes first, then supervised exposure to the controls, then independent execution under assessment.

  1. See: Day 1 builds the system picture: ground system architecture, water treatment principles, the chemical application protocol, and a ground demonstration.
  2. Feel: Day 2 introduces the controls: flight theory, the pilot to ground crew communication protocol, an instructor demonstration, and a supervised micro-control session.
  3. Control: Day 3 is execution: operation planning, a task-based flight, scenario practice, troubleshooting, an emergency role-play, and assessment.

Certification is earned, not attended

A participant who has only observed an operation is not certified. The programme closes with a written assessment and a practical assessment across six competency areas, each assessed on its own. The WasherDrone Operator Certificate is issued only when every area is met.

  • Written assessment. A closed-book written assessment against a defined pass threshold, covering system understanding, operating limits and protocol.
  • Practical assessment. Six competency areas: system knowledge, pre-flight checklist, radio communication protocol, an independent flight task, fault scenarios, and site documentation.
  • Remediation and record. Assessment outcomes are recorded per competency area with documented justification. Where an area is not met, targeted remediation and reassessment follow.

What the certificate covers The certificate records that WasherDrone, as the manufacturer, considers the holder qualified to operate the system. It carries no aviation privilege.

written assessment passed + all six competency areas met = WasherDrone Operator Certificate

The certificate is issued by WasherDrone and does not replace the national remote pilot licence or the operational authorisation required in the operator's jurisdiction. It is issued once and carries no renewal requirement. SORA application consultancy is a separate WasherDrone item and is not part of this programme.

Training partners are authorised by WasherDrone; instructor suitability is assessed on operational experience and instructional ability.

What’s included

  • Three core days of instructor-led training
  • Optional live-site observation day
  • Written and practical assessment
  • Use of a WasherDrone system throughout the programme
  • WasherDrone Operator Certificate on successful completion

Before you deploy

What the certificate is. The WasherDrone Operator Certificate is a manufacturer-issued qualification. It does not replace the national remote pilot licence or the operational authorisation required in the operator's own jurisdiction.

Day 4 is conditional. The live-site observation day is subject to an active client operation being available at the time of training and to that client's consent. Where it cannot run, it is deferred and scheduled within 12 months.

Training at the client's site. On-site delivery requires that a complete system has been ordered and delivered to the client. Date and location are agreed with the assigned partner.

Permissions and costs at the client's site. The client obtains the permissions and authorisations required for the site, and covers the training team's travel, accommodation and subsistence. Where permissions cannot be obtained, the training is deferred.

Hands-on flight. All hands-on flight during the programme is carried out under the direct supervision of the partner instructor, on the system used for training.

Related items, sold separately. Instructor certification (train-the-trainer) and SORA application consultancy are separate WasherDrone items and are not part of this programme.

Travel and accommodation are not included.
